How a migration runs

Current host, domains and what you want moved. Credentials go through a secure form.
2. We copy everything
Files, databases and mailboxes are transferred onto the platform while your site stays live.
3. You test it
Check the copy on a preview URL — forms, checkout, mail flow — before anything changes publicly.
4. We switch when you say
DNS is cut over at a time you pick, with the old host left running until it has propagated.
Common questions
How long does a migration take?
Most single sites move within one working day, and the switch itself takes minutes. Larger estates and busy shops are staged over a few days so that nothing is rushed. We agree the cut-over window with you before anything moves.
Will my site go down?
No. We copy everything across, run it on our platform behind the scenes, and only change the DNS once you have checked it. If anything looks wrong, your old site is still serving and nothing has been lost.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Migration is included on every plan, and that means the work our team does for you, not a self-service tool you are left to run yourself.
What happens to our email?
Mailboxes move with the site. We copy the messages and folders across, set the records up, and check that mail flows both ways before the cut-over.
What do you need from us?
Access to your current hosting and the ability to change DNS. If you are not sure what you have, send us the domain and we will work the rest out.
Can you move something you did not build?
Yes. Most of what we move was built somewhere else, and the original developer does not need to be involved.
