Acceptable Use Policy

What may and may not be done with services hosted on our platform.

Last updated 4 September 2026 · Definitive WebHost is a division of Definitive Concept Ltd

What this policy is for

This policy sets out what may and may not be done with services provided by Definitive WebHost, a division of Definitive Concept Ltd. It exists to keep the platform safe, lawful and fast for everyone on it. It applies to you and to anyone you allow to use your services.

Prohibited content and activity

You must not use our services to host, send or facilitate:

  • material that is unlawful in Mauritius, or that infringes another person's intellectual property
  • child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises a minor
  • content that incites violence, hatred or terrorism
  • malware, exploit kits, phishing pages or credential harvesting
  • unsolicited bulk email, or lists obtained without consent
  • fraudulent schemes, counterfeit goods or deceptive impersonation of another organisation

Network and platform conduct

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, scan or probe networks you do not own, launch or take part in denial-of-service activity, forge headers or packet sources, or evade any resource limit that applies to your plan.

Fair use of unlimited resources

Plans described as unlimited are unmetered for normal business use. They are not a substitute for bulk file distribution, media streaming libraries, public backup dumps, cryptocurrency mining or similar workloads whose cost is driven by storage and transfer rather than by running a website. Where usage is materially out of step with comparable customers we will contact you and agree a plan that fits, before taking any other step.

Email

Mail sent through our platform must be solicited and must identify the sender honestly. You must handle unsubscribe requests promptly, keep evidence of consent, and configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC for your domains. Repeated spam complaints may lead to sending limits or suspension.

Security of your own account

You are responsible for the security of your credentials, for keeping applications and plugins you install up to date, and for the conduct of any user you give access to. Compromised sites that are being used to attack others may be suspended without notice until they are cleaned.

Reporting abuse

Report anything on our platform that appears to breach this policy to sales@definitiveconcept.com. We investigate every report.

What happens if this policy is breached

Depending on severity we may contact you and ask you to fix the problem, restrict a feature, suspend the service, remove the offending content, or terminate the service. Where the law requires it we will report the matter to the authorities. Where circumstances allow we will always contact you first.

If anything here is unclear, write to sales@definitiveconcept.com or call +230 5251 8311 and we will explain it in plain terms.
